Wendy's, Princeton, WV

Today, I was between schools working on the digital divide survey, and I stopped for lunch at Wendy's. Big Mistake! The fries were cold and the burger was dripping with grease. Even the bun was soaked. I would avoid that place like the plague until they improve their
standards. If you are still craving a Wendy's burger, make the long trek to the Bluefield, VA location where the food is still good.

Tiffany and I met up at the post office to submit our passport applications and then left to get an early dinner at Subway. We ran in to some teacher pals and spent the time catching up. Subway is a very reliable resturant. It's hard to mess up a sandwich that is made to order right in front of you, and if you do it's your fault for not paying attention. And to top it all off, Tiffany and I both won cookies with the Subway Scrabble game. Very cool!

Home Cookin' - Straight From The Can

After playing racquetball for an hour, I was tired and didn't want to cook. So it was back to the old standby, beef ravioli. A little shredded cheese and some Texas Pete makes for a perfect dinner. Umm umm good!

The Peking House, Princeton, WV

Sorry, no pictures today. Some food is better eaten and not shown. For my money, the Peking House has the best sit-down chinese food in the area. The crab rangoon is awesome, but don't try the sushi. If you want sushi, go to Kimono (the Japanese Steakhouse) it's made fresh and to order.

Long John Silver's, Princeton, WV

I'm a huge fan of $.99 menus, especially with being on the road as
much as I was this summer. Recently I discovered the fish taco and
found it to be pretty good.

Chili's, Princeton, WV

Two for $20

Apetizer- Chips and Salsa
Mike's entre- Chicken Club Tacos
Tiffany's entre- Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla
Dessert- White Chocolate Molten Lava Cake

The two for $20 deal is an awesome deal from Chili's. The only problem here is the service, but we lucked out and got a good waitress this time. The club tacos were good but dry, they forgot the ranch sauce. When they brought it the waiter brought the wrong thing. He brought an ancho-bbq sauce instead, but it turned out to be a happy accident.

The chicken, bacon ranch quesos were awesome as well. Of course anything with chicken, bacon, and ranch cant be too bad of a combo, right. Again we seem to be plagued with the dryness of the Chili's desert- the tortilla seemes to have spent way too much time in the oven.

The white chocolate molten lava cake was the best thing ever. Overall, it was well worh the $20 we spent on this trip.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

All Chili's resturants will be donating 100% of their profits to St.
Jude on September 28th 2009. So, I urge you to take the family and
head Chili's on the 28th.

Campestre Mexican Grill & Bar

Combination Fajitas Nachos
My new favorite dish. Compliments of Randy Wilson who told me that I had to try it. A blend of steak and chicken fajita fixin's over a bed of fresh tortilla chips. A definate must try meal.
